Lets face it, being a teen driver is hard.  You're thrust into a potentially dangerous world that everyone expects you to be ready for.  That's a lot of pressure.  Luckily, we live in one of the best places for young drivers to get their wheels underneath them.

Both Texas and Louisiana made high marks when it comes to the best states in the nation for teen drivers.  The data-crunchers at Wallethub aren't usually kind when it comes to measuring the Bayou state - but in this particular category, Louisiana came in 4th!   Our sta.te did particularly well in terms of driving laws that benefit these drivers and the the economic impact they have here, scoring 2nd place over all in these categories  Texas rounded out the top 5, which is pretty impressive when you consider the gigantic size of the Lone Star state.

Arkansas hit 20th, so at least the Ark-La-Tex as a whole finished better than average.  As for the worst state in the nation?  That honor would go to Wyoming, which tied for last place with Alabama for "Most Teen Driver Fatalities per Teen Population."

According to the survey, the states were measured on 23 different metrics ranging from "number of teen driver fatalities to average cost of car repairs to presence of impaired-driving laws."
