Two east Texas organizations are working to provide college scholarships for children whose fathers or mothers were wounded or killed in action while serving in the military.

The group called Fold of Honor is working with the group God, Country and Family to honor servicemen and servicewomen and raise money to help them with their needs.

The two groups came together recently with the goal of providing scholarships to family members of wounded and fallen soldiers.

Scholarship recipients will be formally recognized at the group’s fundraiser on April 30 in Crockett.

A scholarship application can be found on the God, Country and Family website at godcountryfamily.com.   Click on the Folds of Honor link.
