Every year, for as long as I can remember, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Pumping Unit has been set up in front of the Lufkin Mall. It has always been a big deal for us to see him out there, because that always meant that Christmas was approaching. This year, once again, I look forward to seeing him in his usual spot. And, after driving past the mall this morning, I saw that preparations are underway for Rudolph!

Naturally, I had to go by and get pictures of the preparations taking place! This is what I saw:

As you can see, Rudolph's usual spot has been roped off to make room for him, and Santa's semi-trailer of presents is already being assembled.

The official lighting of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Pumping Unit will take place of Saturday, November 17th, at 4:30 PM. There will be cookies, milk, and antlers for the kids in attendance, as well as live music performed by the Lufkin community band.

So, make plans to be at the Lufkin Mall that Saturday, so that you can see the grand lighting of Rudolph!
