CNN is reporting that evangelist Billy Graham is in "good spirits" and resting comfortably today in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, where he's getting testing and treatment for possible pneumonia.

A spokesman says the Reverend Graham spent time reading the Bible and praying with his daughter Gigi Wednesday night.

When Graham -- who turned 93 on November 7 -- was admitted to Mission Hospital, "he was alert, smiling and waving at hospital staff," according to a statement from the hospital.

The statement added "While no date has been set for discharge, Mr. Graham is looking forward to returning home to spend the upcoming Christmas holidays with his family."

Graham is the founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.  Over more than 60 years he's preached the gospel and provided spiritual counsel to millions of people around the world, including generations of U.S. presidents beginning with President Harry Truman.
