Is this a great country or what?  A Pittsburgh artist has come up with a way to help nursing mothers who're not allowed to nurse their babies at work or in a public place.

Jill Miller says this is not a joke.  It's serious.  Her idea is something she calls “The Milk Truck.” She wants to buy an ice cream truck and put a giant breast on the roof.

Miller says any woman who is made to feel uncomfortable or told to leave a public place for breastfeeding will be able to contact “The Milk Truck,” which will come out and park in front of the restaurant or other establishment.

Volunteer helpers will set up chairs under an awning and provide a place where the mother can nurse her baby in an environment of support.

Miller is trying to raise $10,000 to make the project a reality through pledges at a website called Kickstarter.com.  She says she’s getting responses from around the world, and has already raised more than $4,000 dollars.

Miller says mothers should be allowed to nurse their babies anywhere, and she wants The Milk Truck to be an attention getter and force people to think about that.
