The winning numbers in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing were 22-32-37-44-50 with Powerball 34, according to the Powerball lottery’s website.

Saturday night’s jackpot amount was the fourth largest in the game’s history, but no one matched all of the numbers. There was no winner. So…how high will the jackpot climb now?

Wednesday’s jackpot will climb to an estimated $425 million, according to the Powerball website, but it could grow even higher than that as the word spreads. Lottery players tend to stock up on tickets as the high-dollar drawings happen, offices pool their money going for a split jackpot among co-workers, and new lottery players toss in a few bucks thinking why not! All of that could send the jackpot closer to $500 million. In other words, stopping at a gas station to buy a ticket could net ya half a billion dollars.

There were more than 2 million winners Saturday night who will take home varying amounts of cash, but no one matched all five numbers plus the powerball number. Ten winners on Saturday grabbed $1 million, and one winner fetched $2 million. Not bad.

Powerball is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia, and the US Virgin Islands. What states don’t play? Mississippi, Alabama, California, Utah, Nevada, Hawaii, Alaska, and Wyoming. The rest of us have a shot at that filthy rich jackpot.

Good luck!
