Spring is right around the corner, and that means that it's time for outdoor activities...like golf!

Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 is hosting a golf tournament next month, and it benefits an awesome cause!

Saturday, April 8th, make plans to be at the Neches Pines Golf Course in Diboll for the tournament. But this isn't just a regular golf tourney...this is a four-person, scramble format, with several prizes to be given away for getting closest to the hole, longest drive, and for putting.

If you want to be a part of this, you have to be at the golf course pretty early, even though it's on a Saturday. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM that morning. And remember when I said it was a scramble format? Well, at 9:00 AM, there will  be shotgun start to signal the beginning of the scramble! The cost for each four-person team is $300, and there are sponsorship packages that will also be available.

All proceeds go right back into the community, towards scholarships for students from local schools.

If you'd like more information about the event, you can contact Lonnie Windham at 936-366-0869.

This tournament looks like it would be a lot of fun to watch and participate in, PLUS the money raised goes towards a good cause!
