Lufkin Christmas Parade is TONIGHT…Here is what you need to know.

Walking around Downtown Lufkin this morning, I couldn't help but feel something special is happening. Extra joy seemed to be everywhere.  Then I realized that tonight is the night for the Lufkin Christmas Parade. When looking all over social media there seems to be a bunch of questions being asked about events so I have gathered up some answers for you.

Where is it?:  Monday December 2nd, 2019 Downtown Lufkin Beginning on First Street and ending on Jackson Ave

When does it begin?: The Parade is at 6:30pm

What is the theme?: A Hollywood Christmas

What should I bring?; Bring your chairs and line up all along the parade route! Also make sure you are bundled up because temperatures look to be in the lower 50's to upper 40's when the parade kicks off!

Will there be food?: This is a very important question in my book. YES! There will be food trucks lined up on Lufkin Avenue to fill all your hunger needs.

Where do I park? Downtown and all around the Parade route will CLOSE AT 3PM.  Last year I parked near the courthouse and got a nice area to stand and watch, A good reminder is to get there a little bit early to give yourself a little bit of time to park and get a good spot to watch the parade..

Will stores in downtown Lufkin be open to shop?: Coming of Small Business Saturday lets keep the ball rolling and support local businesses.  Various shops will be open for you to enjoy before and after the parade! If you get cold make sure to stop by our friends at Standpipe and get some delicious coffee or hot chocolate!
