Some sad news out of Houston, Texas on Sunday after a helicopter hit a radio tower.

KHOU reports that four people, including a child, died after the private helicopter they were on hit a radio tower in Houston early Sunday evening.

Witnesses near the crash site say that it sounded like fireworks or gunshots as soon as the helicopter hit the tower.

Fire officials were quick to respond to the scene, but they were unable to save anyone aboard the helicopter. Now, officials are asking those who live near the crash site to not touch any material they may come across as a result of the crash.

The helicopter was coming from Ellington Airport, but its destination remains unclear as the investigation continues.

A video posted on social media shows the moment the helicopter crashed into the tower, which seemed to a have warning light working properly before the crash. However, a report by ABC News says other lights on the tower may have been out at the time of the crash, and that the tower site had previous issues with warning lights.

Here's a report that shows the aftermath of the crash site in Houston. You can see that the tower, which fell to the ground, is now just twister metal.
