Great Wolf Lodge, one of the most popular indoor water park resorts in America, will open a second Texas location later this year.

Where will it be located?

The new resort is being built in Webster, Texas, which is just southeast of Houston.

The resort is being built on a 27-acre site just east of the Gulf Freeway and will reportedly cost $200 million to construct.

When's it opening?

It was previously reported that the resort would not open until October, at the earliest. However, that has changed and the water park/hotel is now set to open on August 29, 2024.

This one will have some unique features.

This will be Great Wolf Lodge's 22nd location in North America. It will feature an all-new design theme for its indoor water park, filled with immersive and interactive storytelling elements to enhance the overall water park experience.

Also new to the Webster location will be the "Texas Twirler," which is described as an exhilarating family raft adventure that can accommodate up to five riders.

More stats

All total, the resort will boast a fantastic 92,000 square-foot indoor water park, which, of course, is perfect for year-round aquatic adventures.

The water park will feature 13 slides, three pools, a hot tub, and two interactive water play zones.

The resort will also feature an exciting 61,000 square-foot Great Wolf Adventure Park
