Trump Burger, the fast-growing chain originally launched in Bellville, Tx now finds itself caught in a web of lawsuits, landlord battles, immigration drama, and a firm slap from the Trump Organization itself.

Let’s break it down.

A Burger Business Divided

Roland Beainy, who claims he owns 50% of Trump Burger LLC, filed a lawsuit in Fayette County in April, saying he paid $65,000 to co-founder Eddie Hawa (aka Iyad Abuelhawa). The deal was supposedly agreed to in January, and the money was sent in March. Hawa denies there was a formal agreement and is now counter-suing for $1 million. That case is still pending.

The Kemah Controversy

Things heated up even more in Kemah, where Beainy tried opening a new Trump Burger near the popular boardwalk. He’s now suing the property owner, Archie Patterson, who allegedly booted him from the location after a dispute over a liquor license and a $125,000 addendum Beainy says he never signed.

Adding fuel to the fire, Patterson’s team claims Beainy was detained by ICE for seven weeks and had his green card revoked, disqualifying him as the business’s legal leaseholder. Beainy was released on bond and faces an immigration hearing in Houston on November 18th.

Patterson has since rebranded the restaurant as MAGA Burger, distancing the business from Beainy and the Trump name.

Trump Name, No Approval

In February, lawyers for the Trump Organization sent a cease-and-desist letter to Trump Burger in Bellville, calling the use of the former president’s name and brand unauthorized and misleading. They demanded the removal of all Trump-related branding from storefronts, websites, and social media—or face legal action.

No agreement has been reached. The Trump Organization has not responded to reported press inquiries.

More Lawsuits and Accusations

And it doesn’t stop there. Beainy is also being sued by former business partner Beshara Janho, who alleges Beainy misled him out of ownership of their company and failed to provide documents needed to extend his U.S. visa. That case is pending in Harris County and seeks up to $1 million in damages.
