SHREVEPORT, LA-   Shreveport Police Officer halts Home Invasion in progress

A Shreveport Police Officer thwarted a home invasion in progress on November 21, at approximately 11:20 PM. The officer, conducting a routine patrol through an apartment complex parking lot in the 8700 block of Millicent Way, responded upon hearing the alarming sounds of glass breaking and a woman's screams emanating from a nearby residence.

Rushing to the scene, the officer identified the suspect as Bobby Barfield, 41 years of age, who had reportedly forcibly entered a residence and was assaulting the occupants within. With precision, the officer secured the area and initiated a thorough investigation that culminated in the arrest of Bobby Barfield.

Barfield faces the charge of one count of home invasion. The Shreveport Police Department commends the officer's quick and decisive actions, highlighting tour commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
