SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest man for rape of a 5-year-old

In September of 2023, Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives were contacted in reference to a sexual assault involving a 5-year-old child. Shreveport Police Detectives were able to develop information to obtain a warrant for the arrest of Courtney Oliver (09/29/87).

On September 28th Shreveport Police Warrants Officers and Shreveport City Marshal’s deputies were able to locate Oliver. Oliver was arrested and charged with for one count of first-degree rape.

If convicted, he could face up to life in prison. We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
