Investigators found that Farish had sold Fentanyl-laced pills to the victim after looking into the overdose incident.

Brand New Law

A new law, which started in 2023, makes it a criminal act of murder to provide Fentanyl that leads to someone's death. Farish was arrested by the Bedford Police on February 2, following a warrant for selling or delivering a controlled substance.

Since then, Farish has been held in Tarrant County Jail. His bond is now set at $175,000 for the charges of murder and selling or delivering a controlled substance.

Greater Prevention Efforts

As the investigation unfolds, questions arise about the accessibility of these dangerous substances and the need for greater awareness and prevention efforts. The case serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need to address the root causes of the opioid epidemic and to hold those responsible for perpetuating it accountable for their actions.
