Remember Summer Movie Nights at Homer Bryce Stadium? Bring Them Back!
Over the years, there have been lots of fun events held on campus at Stephen F. Austin State University. And the events that I'm talking about haven't been exclusively for students. There have been some really cool ones for the Nacogdoches community in general.
One of the more memorable ones was a summer event that should at least be in discussions for bringing back. It had to do with summer, movies and football. Do you remember anything like that?

Summer Movie Nights at Homer Bryce Stadium
Think back to 2019...I know that was a long time ago, before COVID was even a thing. That was back when there were all kinds of cool events that you could attend with all your friends, and social distancing wasn't even a thing! Well, someone at SFA came up with the idea of opening up Homer Bryce Stadium and watching movies on the endzone jumbotron. I don't know who had the idea, and I don't know who had a hand in putting it all together. All I know is that that idea was awesome! We got the chance to watch Remember the Titans ON the football field. How fitting is that???

All you had to do as an attendee was show up to watch the movie. You could bring lawn chairs, blankets, pillows, whatever, and go claim a space on the turf to watch from. Plus, if you wanted snacks, the concession stand was open so you could purchase popcorn, drinks and candy and could have the whole movie experience!
Can Someone Bring Back Summer Movie Nights?
Since I didn't know who was in charge of the summer movie nights when they originally were happening in 2019, I really have no idea who would be in charge of making them happen again. However, I definitely think it could be worth the discussion of bringing it back. How about you???
