Joy Palmer, the Newest Deep East Texas Community Rockstar!
We now have a new addition to our Community Rockstar list. This person is dedicated not only to the Nacogdoches community, but Deep East Texas as a whole, and she's doing awesome things for the people there.
Next Up on the Community Rockstar List: Joy Palmer
Joy Palmer is the newest Community Rockstar. Joy works for the City of Nacogdoches, but she does so much more for the community.
According to the nomination that we received, Joy was nominated "because of her tireless dedication to bringing the Nacogdoches community together through events like Corporate Challenge. She puts in countless hours organizing, supervising, and supporting events that create teamwork, connection, and community spirit among local businesses and organizations." The nominator went on to say, "Even while balancing her regular job responsibilities, she consistently goes above and beyond with a positive attitude and genuine passion for serving others." The final part of the nomination ended with this, "Her work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact she has on this community is seen and felt by so many people each year."
And these are the reasons that Joy deserves to be recognized. She - like our other Community Rockstars - is doing awesome things for Deep East Texas, whether they are front and center or behind the scenes. We'll be hooking Joy up with a framed Community Rockstar certificate from Q107 and Zion Auto Glass, as well as a gift certificate to Lone Star Charlie's restaurant in Lufkin.
