Ashley Harris is Our First Deep East Texas Community Rockstar Police Officer

We have had 23 people named as Community Rockstars up to this point. This week's rockstar will be number 24. That's six-months of people doing awesome things for Deep East Texas. We've had business owners, teachers, pastors, non-profit founders, volunteers and more. But we haven't had any law enforcement officers...Until today.

Sergeant Ashley Harris Is Our First Community Rockstar Police Officer

This week's Deep East Texas Community Rockstar is Ashley Harris! Ashley is a Patrol Sergeant with the Nacogdoches Police Department.

According to the nomination that we received, "Officer Ashley Harris with the Nacogdoches Police Department is a very sweet and kind officer that goes above and beyond for everyone that she encounters. Even going the extra mile to check on them whenever she sees them out in the community or even at church."

So, not only is Ashley a rockstar for being a police officer, but she is also a rockstar out in the community as well. In my opinion, officers are doing awesome things on a daily basis, and they deserve more recognition for what they do. They're watching out and - just like the nomination said of her - going the extra mile.

And that's why Ashley Harris is this week's Deep East Texas Community Rockstar!

Like our other rockstars, Ashley will be receiving a framed certificate from Q107 and Zion Auto Glass, along with a gift certificate to Lone Star Charlie's in Lufkin. If you know someone that's doing great things for Deep East Texas like she is, you can nominate them at the link below:
