I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that most people in today's world use Amazon fairly regularly. That's a fair assumption, right? I think it's also a safe bet to say that the people using Amazon usually just have the deliveries shipped directly to their homes. However, if you don't want to do that, there are a few other options for picking up and shipping packages via Amazon.

Here in Deep East Texas, we have six Amazon Package Pickup Locations, according to a website called LockerMap.com. Of these locations, four of them are classified as Amazon Lockers, and two of them are classified as Amazon Counters.

The Amazon Lockers are located in Nacogdoches, Coldspring, Livingston and Shepherd. The Amazon Counters are located in Lufkin and Diboll. Here are their complete locations:

What's the Difference in Amazon Lockers and Counters?

I had no idea that there was even a difference between the lockers and counters. So, when I did a little digging, this is what I found, according to DealSeek.com: Amazon Lockers are self-service kiosks where your packages are delivered. If you choose to use this option instead of having the package sent to your house, are given a code that unlocks the locker - yes, a literal locker - at the location. When you enter the code, whichever locker compartment has your package unlocks and you are free to remove it.

On the other hand, the Amazon Counters are a bit different, though the concept is the same. The counters are staffed pickup locations inside other stores, like the UPS store in Lufkin. You select to have your package sent there, then you receive a code to give to the staff member once you get to the store. See? Same concept, just a bit different look to it.

Either option is a win, but I think I prefer to just have my packages sent to my house.
