If you were excited about going to a concert this weekend with your friends, I'd hate to the bearer of bad news. According to a new statement from Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, the Thomas Rhett show scheduled for tomorrow night (Saturday, June 17th) has been canceled.

According to the statement from the entertainment venue:

Due to storm damage in the area and power outages in the venue, the Thomas Rhett "Home Team Tour 23" stop scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Bossier City, Louisiana has been cancelled.
Refunds will be available at your point of purchase.

Shreveport-Bossier was hit with a major thunder storm Thursday night/Friday morning. According to reports, many areas experienced heavy rain and winds in excess of 60 miles per hour. The storm caused mass damage around town and more than 200,000 customers were without power.

At the moment, several parts of town have no ETA on when power will be restored to them. According to a statement from SWEPCO on their Facebook page, "Estimated restoration times may be shared by late Friday evening, if the full assessments are able to be safely completed."

You can keep up to date with the latest on the recovery efforts on SWEPCO's Facebook page.
