
Your Big Break? Open Casting Call Saturday Feb 21 for East Texas Movie
Are you ready for your close-up? If you have dreamed of having your name up in lights and a chance at an acting career, then you don't want to miss your chance at a role in a new movie that will be filmed in East Texas and open auditions are this Saturday, February 21.

Micah Lyons and Lyons Family Studios are having an open casting call this Saturday in Longview for an upcoming feature film called Stigma. This event is open to the public. You say you have no acting experience? That's okay, no previous acting experience is required.
Local Casting Call Set for East Texas Film
According to KTBS, the movie will be a family-friendly crime thriller that is set right here in East Texas. The story centers on a young Longview mother who returns home and finds herself caught in a dangerous hunt for money stolen from a deranged business partner.
Quite a few of the roles will be filled by local talent. That includes starring and supporting roles, as well as extras. Actors of all ages and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to come and audition.

The auditions will start at 12 PM at Carmela's Magical Venue, located at 6085 U.S. 259 North in Longview. Get there early, because the line will begin forming at 11:30 AM and the doors will close at 4 PM.

Lyons is interested in growing the film industry in the area and that means more than just actors are needed. There will be a meeting for possible crew members at 5 PM. Saturday. They’re calling on electricians, carpenters, caterers, hair stylists, and other skilled professionals to come learn how their talents can help bring local films to life
Lyons has been busy. developing a new studio space in downtown Longview, and plans to produce multiple films each year in East Texas.
