Angelina Beautiful/Clean, Texas A&M Forest Service, and Lowe's Home Improvement are once again teaming up for the yearly Tree Seedling Giveaway.  The annual celebration of Arbor Day is coming up on Tuesday, January 31st beginning at 9 a.m. in the Lowe's parking lot located at 3501 S. Medford Drive in Lufkin.

A variety of hardwood trees will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. The summer of 2022 was quite dry in Deep East Texas and a number of trees suffered as a result. These seedlings can help replenish trees on your property, or maybe you're just needing some extra shade or scenery.

What Type of Seedlings Will be Given Away?

Sawtooth Oaks - A fast-growing oak that produces a multitude of acorns. A hardy, shade-producing tree.

Bald Cypress - These trees have the potential to reach heights up to 100 feet. A beautiful tree perfect for landscaping a yard or pasture tree line.

Allegheny Chinkapin - This nut-producing small tree is a favorite of squirrels, deer, and quail. It is a spreading shrub or small tree reaching a mature height of 20 feet under ideal conditions.

Show Up Early

All tree seedlings are FREE, but there is a limited supply. It would be a good idea to arrive at the Lowe's parking lot well before the 9 a.m. start. Angelina Beautiful/Clean welcomes any monetary donations, all of which are tax-deductible.
