Forget the Reindeer, Santa is Coming to Lufkin in a Helicopter

The Angelina County Toys for Tots drive is going strong

Every year, beginning in October, collections begin for the nearly 2,000 children who are in need of toys and gifts for Christmas. The Marine Corps Reserve headed by Brian Crews spend countless hours reaching out and helping those in need.

Although the toy collection lasts for over two months, the yearly signature fundraiser takes place during the second weekend in December. Once again this year, the Marines will land and commandeer the Walmart Supercenter parking lot in Lufkin.

December 8 through 10, you are encouraged to stop by the parking lot and drop off a new, unwrapped toy or monetary donation. There will be an impressive display of military vehicles, classic jeeps, cars and much more.

Here Comes Santa Claus

On Saturday, December 9th, at approximately 10 A.M., Santa Claus will be visiting the Toys for Tots event, and since his reindeer need all the rest they can get, Saint Nick will be arriving in a helicopter! (weather permitting)

Bring the kids and watch his epic arrival and get pictures made at the Toys for Tots area.

If you can't make it out to the event at the Walmart Supercenter, there are plenty of toy drop-off locations throughout the Lufkin area.
