There are still over 140 games left in the Major League Baseball season. So, it's kind of early to start talking about statistics, but when an East Texas native is among the league leaders in an important category, it's hard not to focus some attention on him.

As of this writing, sixteen Major League pitchers have a total of 3 wins. Grayson Rodriguez is one of them.

In his four starts this season, Rodriguez has pitched a total of 24 innings, struck out 27, and has a stellar ERA of 2.63.

Taking it All in 2024

Last year, the Orioles won the American League East but were swept by the Texas Rangers in the divisional series. Of course, Texas went on to win the World Series.

This year, the Orioles are hoping to play into late October. Two other American League East teams (Yankees and Blue Jays) are given better odds than the Orioles on being World Series champs in 2024.

But, then again, none of the oddsmakers in 2023 gave the Texas Rangers much of a chance to bring home the Series trophy.

Seeing Grayson Pitch in Person

The only time the Baltimore Orioles travel to Texas will be for a 3-game series in Houston in mid-June, and then for a 3-game series in Arlington in July against the Rangers.

The Orioles use a 5-man starting rotation, so there would be no guarantees that Grayson would start any of those games.
