Grayson's 2025 Season

Injuries have been a recurring theme for the former 1st round draft choice from Central Heights. Rodriguez had many dominating performances in his rise through the Minors, but a recurring lat strain required lengthy stays on the injured list at Triple-A Norfolk and Baltimore.

In an attempt to relieve some of the stress off the lat, Rodriguez experimented with a slightly altered delivery during the 2025 Spring Training. However, he developed an elbow injury, which sidelined him for the first few weeks of the season.

That issue was treated, but while doing some rehab throwing, Rodriguez once again aggravated his lat strain. After treating that with rest and therapy, the elbow issue cropped up again during throwing sessions.

What Will This Surgery Do?

According to the Baltimore Orioles, Rodriguez will undergo debridement surgery on his elbow. This surgery will go a long way in removing damaged tissue and debris from his injured elbow.

The surgery, recovery, and rehab will be a months-long process. However, the Orioles have expressed optimism that Grayson could make a strong recovery and be ready in time for next year's Spring Training.

Keep Grayson in your prayers that the surgery goes well and that he makes a full recovery in time for the 2026 MLB season.
