Voices Of Rock Brings 1980s Arena Anthems To Pines Theater Oct 17
Recently, the management at the Angelina Arts Alliance asked to give a look and listen to the Voices of Rock, a tribute band that's scheduled to appear in Lufkin at the Pines Theater. I like to consider myself a little bit of a connoisseur when it comes to rock tribute band, Brit Floyd is one of my favorites. I have to admit, the Voices of Rock have flown under my radar, but after watching their hype video, I'm very impressed.
A Trip Back To The Arena Rock Bands
If you're going to try to recreate the great Arena Rock bands you've got to be strong in 3 facets: a strong soaring lead vocalist, spot on harmonies, and amazing guitarists. The Voices of Rock check the boxes on all of them. Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is one of the toughest to perform, but they kill it. Likewise, their harmonies on songs by Kansas, Foreigner, Journey, and Boston are very impressive. They even venture back to the 1970s to throw in some Led Zeppelin.
If you're ready to relive the soundtrack of a generation of monster hits from the 1980s, you've got to see the Voices of Rock when they perform in Lufkin. From arena anthems and unforgettable ballads to the songs that defined road trips, high school dances, and summer nights, this concert is will be packed with music you'll know from the very first note.
