No! Another Round of Deadly Storms to Take Aim at Decimated Towns
Last Friday (March 31), I wrote a story about a very rare and scary episode. The Storm Prediction Center issued a forecast map showing two high-risk areas for severe weather and tornado outbreaks.
The outlook, unfortunately, was pretty much spot on as tornadoes ravaged places such as Little Rock and Wynne, Arkansas; Sullivan, Indiana; and Keota, Iowa, just to name a few.
Another Rare and Deadly Outbreak?
Tuesday is quickly shaping up to be another March 31. Not only could we see another moderate severe weather outbreak, but don't be surprised to see another double high-risk tornado forecast...OVER MUCH OF THE SAME AREAS!
Compare the two maps and you can see very close similarities as far as where the worst of the storms may occur. Towns and cities crushed by violent tornadoes will be under the gun again on Tuesday afternoon and night. Residents of Little Rock, Wynne, and Keota who are either homeless or without power will look to the skies and pray that they will be spared this time.
Deep East Texas is not included in the bull's eye of this severe weather outbreak, however, this time around forecasters believe extreme northeast Texas could be in harm's way.
As of this posting on Sunday morning, the Storm Prediction Center has laid out two enhanced zones (brown) for Tuesday's severe weather. However, it's a pretty sure bet that in the next 24 hours, at least one moderate (red) area will go up. Then, on Tuesday morning, it could be deja vu all over again with some pink, high-risk zones being identified.
How Can You Help Victims
There are numerous local agencies helping residents of devastated towns. However, you can always reach out to the American Red Cross and Salvation Army units that service these areas and know that your donations are going exactly where it needs to go.
