There's no denying it. I'm proud to call myself a San Antonio Spurs fan. Even though the team will look more different this year than I've ever seen it, with the retirement of Manu Ginobili, the trades of Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard, and Danny Green. Not to mention all the other changes that have gone on. I'm still a Spurs fan.

That's why this post from the KSAT 12 Facebook page caught my eye:

I could go watch the team scrimmage, for free. I could sit wherever I want in the AT&T Center, for free. I can even park at AT&T Center, for...how much? FREE. That's right. Even the parking is free. There's even $1 drink and soda specials, and 25% off of merch in the Spurs Fan Shop.

I'd be going crazy with excitement in there, man! It's all happening Wednesday, October 3rd. Doors open at 6:00 PM and tip-off is at 7:00 PM. And, let's face it, San Antonio is NOT that far away. It's definitely worth the drive to see free professional basketball, even if it's not a conference game.

Plus, it's my chance to see the new look of the Spurs. Because, for the most part, the only part that's the same vintage Spurs for me is the coach, Gregg Popovich. I'm hoping that Coach Pop will stay around for SA a while longer, but there's no telling if that'll really happen. I'm thinking that I need to take advantage of this opportunity - sorry, this FREE opportunity - while I can. Who's with me?

And, as always: #GoSpursGo
