Firefighters found 20-year-old John Taylor Skilling, the youngest of Jeffrey Skilling's three children, dead Tuesday night in his college dorm room, according to California police.

Young Skilling was a student at Chapman University in Santa Ana, California.

On Thursday, Jeffrey Skilling's lawyer, Daniel Petrocelli, added that he's talked with his client, who is "obviously heartbroken and distraught and devastated."

Petrocelli said, too, that the family is also awaiting the toxicology study and knows of no signs of foul play in the young man's death.

Jeffrey Skilling is serving a 24 year federal prison sentence for his role in the scandal that drove Enron out of business.  He's asking the U.S. Bureau of Prisons to allow him to attend his son's funeral.
