Don’t Miss This Free Summer Workshop for Kids
Sending the kids to camps, pools, and arcades during the summer can get expensive, so we're going to help you find some free fun that will save you some money and keep them from getting bored too.
First up, a chance for parents and kids to build a car together!
Free kids' building workshops are offered on some Saturdays at Home Depot, and they're designed for kids ages 5 to 12. The kids get to spend the morning making their own wooden project that they get to keep, and the store will send them home with a certificate of completion, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin.
The first workshop of the summer is coming up June 2, from 9 am to noon at the Lufkin Home Depot store, and it's a Classic Car workshop. Kids and parents can build a vintage General Motors-style wooden car together and then customize it with paint and stickers, and then take it home to display on the mantle or in the back room, depending on how it turns out. Either way, it's a great bonding experience. And did we mention it's FREE?

We'll keep the free ideas coming this summer so you can have more money leftover for road trips, beach vacations, sunscreen, and gas. This will be fun.
