Carter Blood Care Holding Blood Drive on April 18 at Central Elementary

Renew the gift of hope this Spring for transfusion dependent patients by giving the gift of life - blood. It's more important now than ever after this week's tragic events, including the Boston marathon bombings and the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas.

Blood donations make transplant operations, surgical procedures and cancer treatments possible for patients in our community.

Did you know that Carter Blood Care must see approximately 1,100 donors each day in order to maintain the community blood supply?

Central Elementary/Primary School, located at 7622 North U.S. Highway 69, is hosting a blood drive in their parking lot on Thursday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with all donors becoming eligible for a chance to win one free week at Pine Cove camp.
