Baby Found Dead In Car In Athens, Father Arrested
One person is in jail on charges of criminally negligent homicide after an investigation into the death of a 6-month-old girl in Athens.
According to Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, the infant was found dead in the vehicle around 3:30 Thursday afternoon. Jackson Earl Tetrick, 25, was arrested in connection with the investigation and is charged with one count of criminally negligent homicide.
KLTV reports that according to Hillhouse, Tetrick had taken his wife to work and another child to school that morning in Brownsboro before returning home and forgetting the baby was still in the car.
Soon after, Tetrick left for work in Athens, and it wasn't until he went to pick up his older child at school around 3:30 that he realized he hadn't dropped the baby off at the sitters house. The baby was pronounced dead an hour later.
Tetrick remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.
