Alec Baldwin and Roseanne Barr Running for Political Office? [VIDEO]
In separate TV appearances this week, actor Alec Baldwin and comedienne Roseanne Barr both revealed their political ambitions.
On Wednesday night's Parker Spitzer, Baldwin confirmed that, yes, he is "very, very interested" in running for office, with plans to represent the working class. However, his rep told the New York Post's Page Six column that Baldwin isn't campaigning anytime soon: "Alec has a contract with '30 Rock' through 2012, and after that he'll keep his options open." Political rumors have long-followed the graavel-voiced 30 Rock star, sparked by statements in the New York Times that he might be interested in becoming Governor of New York and again when an Ohio law firm publicly courted him to run for their state's gubernatorial seat.
Less evasive about her government aspirations is Roseanne Barr, who recently told "Good Morning America" that she has her eyes set on the US presidency AND Prime Minister of Israel, and considers both "a less stressful life" than her current career as an entertainer. She's offering both nations easy solutions to their economic woes. When asked what she would do about the unemployment crisis, Barr exclaims, "jobs!"
What do you think the odds are for a Baldwin/Barr ticket?
