Winner Announced in Nacogdoches Girl Scout Cookie Cram

How many Girl Scout cookies could you eat in 60 seconds?  Last night's champ of the Girl Scout Cookie Cram in Nacogdoches managed to eat 14 Shortbread cookies in a minute.  Last year's winner ate 12 Thin Mints in that amount of time.

Nacogdoches County Jail Inmate Found Dead

Police reports show Rickey Flanagan was arrested Friday night for DUI and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail around 6:00pm, and at 6:15pm he was found unresponsive in his cell after apparently hanging himself.

Lufkin and Nacogdoches Plan Christmas Events

At some stores and homes, the Christmas decorations were up before Thanksgiving.

Those of us that did put up the Christmas tree before carving the turkey have been accused of breaking holiday rules, but rather than rebellion, we rule breakers argue it's convenient. With the decorating out of the way we could concentrate on matters like shopping.

Now that Thanksgiving is officially behind us, the rule followers are breaking out the Christmas lights too. Lufkin will light up the season with a Christmas parade on Tuesday.
