Much Needed Rain Causes Power Outages In Several Counties
Many East Texas residents may have been praying for rain, but last night’s thunderstorms brought more than a few showers.

The storm that blew in last night, knocked down trees, scattered debris everywhere, and caused power outages that stretch across multiple counties. As of 10:00 this morning, Wednesday, Oncor Electric has reported there are still about 400 outages remaining in Angelina County, and close to 1,000 outages left in Nacogdoches County.
Electric crews spent most of Tuesday night responding to calls about power outages in Nacogdoches and Angelina Counties. At one point, there were as many as 6,000 homes without power in Nacogdoches County alone.
A supervisor from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Department, and Police Department, said calls have been coming in to request help to clear fallen trees from the roadways. So far, neither department has reported major property damage.
