Early Voting Underway

Early voting for the November 8th election is underway in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Angelina County Courthouse Annex, 606 E. Lufkin Ave. in Lufkin.

Voters statewide will vote on 10 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution, and voters in the Hudson School District will decide whether to create Angelina County's first emergency services district.

The proposed ESD would levy and collect a property tax to pay for providing fire protection and first responder service inside the boundaries of Hudson ISD, but not the part that spills over into the Lufkin city limits.

Voters in the Diboll School District will vote on whether to raise the district's property tax rate at the Diboll ISD administrative office at 215 North Temple Drive in Diboll.

Hours for early voting are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through November 4th.  There are no weekend voting hours.
