After a week of trying to appear uninterested in the head coaching job at Texas A&M, University of Houston coach Kevin Sumlin has resigned from UH, and he's moving back to Aggieland to take that job.
Texas A&M has fired head football coach Mike Sherman. This means the Aggies will go into the Southeastern Conference next year with a new coach, who, if the rumors come true, might be the current coach at the University of Houston -- Kevin Sumlin.
It was inevitable. With big Division One schools everywhere playing musical chairs and moving to new conferences, the University of Houston was overdue for membership in a BCS conference like the Big East, and it's finally happened.
