If you mastered Cyber Monday and saved hundreds of dollars, I am so impressed with you!  Here's how I failed.

You may be able to walk into a liquor store owned by Walmart soon in Texas, under a new bill that Texas lawmakers are considering.  It would allow the big publicly traded retailers to open liquor stores right next to their big box locations.  You can buy beer in Walmart now, and this would make it possible to buy vodka at a shop right next door.

For a die-hard shopper, there’s little more frustrating than buying something at full-price, only to see it go on sale shortly thereafter. To ward that off, retailing giant JC Penney has announced that starting Feb. 1, it’s discounting all merchandise by at least 40 percent — permanently.

It just doesn’t feel like Christmas without the fresh pine smell, shiny decorations and festive lights on a Christmas tree. Christmas tree farms and stands across the country are already reporting that more Christmas trees are selling so far this holiday season than last year.
