The nearly week long hostage situation in Alabama involving a five-year-old boy has finally come to an end.

A man drove from Long Island, New York, into Lower Manhattan earlier today in a van he thought was filled with explosives. He parked the van close to the Federal Reserve building, just a few blocks from the World Trade Center, and planned to detonate it using a cell phone from a nearby hotel. The explosives, however, were fake.

Scary stats released from the IC3. Identity theft, non-delivery of payment or merchandise and scammers impersonating the FBI topped the list of complaints to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) in 2010, with victims reporting hundreds of millions of dollars in losses.
