Folks in Austin will be most successful in Texas when it comes to keeping a New Year's Resolution.
And Shreveport ranks higher than Lufkin?  Surely we're more disciplined and determined than we think. Here's the kicker.

Texas has a good grip on that with our love for brisket and tacos, and has several cities in the Top 50 in the US.  Where would you put Lufkin?

The 2016 UIL State Track and Field Meet is underway in Austin, Texas.  Hundreds of athletes from across the Lone Star State are competing, and we're keeping tabs of the great performances turned in by some of our East Texas students-athletes.

It's anything goes.  Burgers topped topped with eggs, whiskey glaze, avocado, and even donuts, are making foodie cities around East Texas take notice.
Did we make the list for the best burger region in the country?

Rather than spend Thanksgiving weekend at home eating too much and stringing up Christmas lights, maybe a road trip to one of these fun Texas events would be a better idea.  And we can still eat too much. Yay!
