The New Laws Texans Want Most in 2025
Admittedly, I've never given much thought to what new laws I would like to see enacted in Texas. However, plenty of Texans have.
With the rise of online petitions over the last decade or so, people have a voice like never before. Sure, there are a lot of b.s. petitions that are filed at change.org, but it’s still a great option for starting a conversation about real change. That’s why I say maybe I need to be thinking about new laws I would like to see passed. It never hurts to try.

So, I was interested when I saw a survey had been conducted by the legal experts at Weiss & Paarz to determine which laws people in each state would most like to see passed. Not surprisingly, there was a common theme across all states.
The four new laws that received the most responses were as follows:
- 4-Day Work Week
- Presidential Age Limit of 70 Years Old
- Illegal to Play Music or Video Aloud
- Illegal to Cut in Line
Respondents in the Lone Star State were split between a 4-day work week and a presidential age limit. Personally, I would be for both – especially a 4-day work week.
Admittedly a 4-day work week wouldn’t be the best option for someone in my position, but it would be perfect for many others who don’t have to do a daily radio show. I think most people would be fine with working a couple more hours each workday to get a 3-day weekend every week. Maybe it’s time to make it happen.
