Check Out This Art Exhibition Before The First SFA Home Game

The first SFA football game of the year at Homer Bryce Stadium happens tomorrow, August 29, 2024. The Lumberjacks will be taking on the North American Stallions at 7 PM.

Take time to appreciate beautiful art before going to the stadium in Nacogdoches. The SFA Friends of the Visual Arts is hosting their annual SFA faculty exhibition.

There will be something inspiring for everyone in every media. On exhibit will be a variety of artworks in ceramics, sculpture, photography, painting, prints, metals, and mixed media.

Featured Faculty Exhibition: Lindsey Creel Cherry

This year the featured faculty exhibition will showcase some newly created works by the assistant professor of art, Lindsey Creel Cherry. SFA's Annual School of Art Faculty Exhibition starts at 5:30 PM and ends at 7:30 PM.

The event is free and open to the public at the Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House. Come join them for a celebration of art created by their esteemed faculty members.

If you don't get a chance to go during this opening, don't worry. The exhibit will be in place to inspire students and the public until October 18.

SFA Starts Second Year As Part Of The UT System

On September 1, 2023 SFA became the 14th institution in the University of Texas system and celebrated their 100th Anniversary. This year marks a new era for the school.
