Gigantic Meth Bust Found in Lettuce Truck at Texas Border
It’s not shocking to hear that drug traffickers are trying to commit crimes here in Texas. But I’m not sure they all realize how difficult that will be when we have law enforcement who is working hard daily to shut them down. And recently there was a recording breaking amount of meth that was seized inside of a truck at the Texas border.
We got the details regarding the criminal activity from My San Antonio, and we found out that several grocery trucks have been used lately to smuggle drugs. These drug traffickers will try anything to outsmart law enforcement. But I can promise you they have seen just about everything at this point.
This specific bust took place at the Pharr International Bridge on Thursday, August 1st. The truck was supposed to be loaded with lettuce, but an inspection found the truck to be holding 3,429.6 pounds of meth.
This Bust Was a Big Deal
This large drug bust is the largest in the history of the Hidalgo Port of Entry. If these drugs did hit the streets they would have had a street value of around $48 million dollars.
The Fight Against Drugs Continues
Thank you will never be enough for the law enforcement officers that are working to keep these horrible drugs off the streets. These types of loads could kill people and do major damage to communities. Let this be yet another lesson to any drug trafficker, don’t attempt to commit your crimes in Texas. You will be caught, and you will be held responsible for your actions.
