Everyone in Texas is busy, there are so many things to get done each day. But there is one thing you need to check to make sure your family is safe and your house doesn’t go up in flames.

14,000 Annual Dryer Fires Each Year

I had no idea that firefighters respond to so many dryer fires, but I will admit it’s easy to overlook the danger from this machine that works year-round drying all of our clothing.

How Do You Avoid a Dryer Fire at Your Home?

You need to be diligent about cleaning out the dryer filter every time you use the dryer. But you also need to clean out the pipe connecting the dryer to the wall with a brush.

THIS Could Lead to a Fire from Your Dryer

If your clothes are taking longer than normal to dryer, that is a big sign that airflow is being restricted. You will want to look into this immediately because it could be your warning that there is potential for a fire.

Protect yourself and your family, make sure your dryer is good to go, and nothing is blocking the airflow which could cause a fire.
