
A&M-Texarkana Officially Adds Football & Announces New Stadium With RRCU
Texas A&M University-Texarkana has some big news! They just announced a major partnership with Red River Credit Union (RRCU), securing a name for the University’s future football stadium and the new Center for Financial Literacy and Investment.
RRCU Stadium Plans at Texas A&M - Texarkana
The RRCU Stadium will be built along University Avenue and serve as home to Texas A&M-Texarkana’s football team! Yes, you heard right and they are expected to begin playing in the fall of 2027. While planning is still underway, proposed features at the RRCU Stadium include artificial turf, seating for around 6,000, VIP suites, and a bowl-shaped design to enhance the fan experience. The University hopes to be playing in the new stadium by the 2028 season.

Financial Literacy Center
Inside the new James C. Morriss Business, Engineering, and Technology Building, which is set to open next year, is where the RRCU Center for Financial Literacy and Investment will be located. The RRCU Center will provide financial education and resources to the community. Programs will cover budgeting, credit management, debt reduction, and investment basics, along with workshops and one-on-one guidance offered.

A Transformational Moment for Athletics
Along with football, Texas A&M-Texarkana is also preparing for another huge milestone as it moves to NCAA Division II athletics. The University has secured an invitation to compete in the Lone Star Conference, one of the top conferences in Division II sports.
