Clarification: There has been some feedback to this story that the unsafe environment designation is a result of COVID protocols. If that's the case, then sorry for the misleading nature of this story. That being said, I'm still saying my daughter's car is still too messy to vacuum.

I often tell my children to strive for excellence and do something that sets them apart from the rest. My oldest daughter (28) recently accomplished that when she took her vehicle to the Walmart Automotive Department in Lufkin to change the oil.

After paying for the service, she was handed a receipt along with a printout of everything that was checked during the oil change.

As you can tell from the lists, nothing really stands out. The tire pressure, headlights, and fluid levels were all checked.

But then...we saw this...

Apparently, one of the services Walmart performs is a complimentary vacuum of the vehicle. However, not in this case since my daughter's carpet was categorized as "UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT".

Why Was It An Unsafe Environment?

I could try to explain it to you, but I'll let a couple of photos do the talking.

That would be thousands and thousands of hairs in my daughter's fur-ridden backseat. One look at that and the Walmart service tech must have classified this as "UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT" and turned off the vacuum hose.

I can't say that I blame him.

My daughter has two large dogs and she lets them ride in the back of her SUV whenever she comes to visit. She has given up on putting a blanket down since the dogs will just move it out of the way.

I'm not saying my daughter spoils her dogs, but that blanket has their faces on it.

So...congratulations to my oldest. She has set herself apart from the rest and has joined what I'm sure is an extremely small group of the population who has ever received an UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT designation from the Walmart Automotive Department.
