What Are the Chances? Texas City Strikes Gold Twice in Lottery Scratch-Off Game
The Texas Lottery has confirmed that something remarkable recently happened in La Porte, Texas. In just over a month, the same scratch-off game has produced two millionaires in that city.

Lucky Millions Scratch Off Game
This $20 game features four top prizes of $1 million. Three of those payouts have been claimed.

The first million-dollar winning card was sold at a store in Elgin, just east of Austin. The second and third jackpot-winning tickets were sold in La Porte, at two stores, located on the same road.
On April 3, the Fairmont Food Mart on West Fairmont Parkway sold a million-dollar ticket. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, lives in La Porte.
Then, on May 12, another winning ticket was sold at the Fuel Express, also located on West Fairmont. The person who won that $1 million lives in Baytown.
What Are The Odds of This Happening?
I have no idea.
I do know that there are approximately 6,600,000 game tickets in Lucky Millions. The odds of winning one of the million-dollar payouts are 1 in 1.6 million.

It wouldn't be that surprising to have two top winners of the same scratch-off game from a major metro such as Houston or Dallas, but La Porte has a population of a little less than 40,000.
I don't know how to calculate the odds of double winners from the same street in the same town, but I wouldn't go to La Porte to try to locate that 4th remaining ticket.
