Bitter cold temperatures plunged into Texas and the Deep South on Thursday as a massive winter storm exited the United States for the Canadian Maritimes.
Even as the storm system swirled out of the country, new trouble was brewing across parts of the Deep South. Snow, freezing rain and sleet are forecast for Thursday from parts of Texas to Alabama.
The extreme weather was putting an unprecedented demand on Texas’ energy grid, leading to power outages that were expected to continue into Thursday, Gov. Rick Perry said.
In other words, it’s going to be cold in East Texas, so bundle up as snow is expected to come down today. At least we don’t be getting it as bad as some of the other parts of the U.S. Watch the video below from CNN:
