Will You Continue to Eat At Chick-fil-A? — Survey of the Day

For the past couple of weeks, fried chicken has dominated the culture wars. It all started when Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy harshly criticized gay marriage, drawing the ire of cause’s supporters.
The eatery has further stirred controversy by donating millions of dollars to groups that don’t support gay marriage.
Some have called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A to punish Cathy for the beliefs he expressed publicly. Others, including former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, have rallied around the fast food franchise, organizing a ‘Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,’ which reportedly netted Chick-fil A its biggest day of sales in the company’s history.
According to an online poll of over 25,000 Washington Post readers, 64 percent will continue to eat at Chick-fil-A regardless of what they think of Cathy’s comments of gay marriage. Thirty-six percent answered that they will no longer be patronizing the chicken chain.
