The first day of school always creates challenges for educators, parents and children. Packing lunches, eating breakfast, deciding what to wear and actually getting there take its toll on everyone involved, especially those kids heading to school for the first time.

For some it’s a new environment, for some it’s back to the familiar grind and for others it’s a new experience all together.

Students can be filled with anxiety and excitement — which adds to the stress of the normal morning routine — so planning is important in avoiding major meltdowns.
