I love Tyler. I love East Texas. I just wish there was more to do besides going to a bar or going out to eat to one of the million restaurants in Tyler. Kinda sad, really, that there so few entertainment options in a town this size.

Enter Times Square Cinema. A locally owned theater that has been a landmark for years. They decided to basically take the whole Times Square shopping center and make it a huge entertainment complex and call it Times Square Grand Slam.

This complex will feature the theater we all love, an arcade that is already open and is awesome, a restaurant, bowling and laser tag.

YES! YES! YES!

I'm 41 years old and I love doing all of this.

If you are a follower of Times Square Grand Slam on Facebook, you probably saw their video update the other day. If not, here's a look:

They still don't have an exact opening date as of yet but it's soon. I will be there opening night no matter what. I will probably go broke spending so much time at this place actually.

I want to make a plea to the people of Tyler and East Texas; I want you, no, I need you and your family to get behind this new entertainment center. Fill those bowling lanes every weekend. Play laser tag with your kids. Meet your friends at the arcade. Tyler has needed a venue like this since I was a teenager in the 90's. In other words, this is long overdue.

I am so looking forward to this opening and I hope to see you out there.
